Gate Valve

Gate Valve

• The Gate moves linearly, perpendicular to the direction of flow. This type of valves are normally used in the  fully opened or fully closed position.    They are used in fully opened or fully closed position. They are used where minimum pressure drop and bi – directional on – off service is

   required.

FLEXIBLE WEDGE:

• A one – piece cast flexible wedge ensures tight Seatrings over a wide range of differential pressure and temperatures.

• Compensates for deformation of body due to pipe stresses.

• Will not stick when valve is closed hot and allowed to cool.

SEATRING:

• Screwed seatrings, bottom seated type lapped on both sides.

• Seal Weld seatrings prevents leak proof path between the seatrings and body. This design is superior to screwed seats which can loosen up due to temperature fluctuation / corrosion or vibration and results in leakage.

CRYOGENIC SERVICE:

• Extended bonnet with vapour column length according to BS 6364. Vapour column allows the stem packings to be functional by keeping it away from the cryogenic fluid.

BY – PASS ARRANGEMENT:

• A By – Pass arrangement service to purposes:

1. In steam services, to warm up the line before opening of the main valves.

2. In steam and other lines, to balance the pressure on both sides of the main valves wedge or plug to bring down the valve opening torque.

LANTERN RING:

• To prevent escape of service fluid to the atmosphere. This finds applications in stringent environment conditions or in the case of potentially harmful to service fluids.

LOCKING DEVICES:

• Locking devices are used to secure a hand wheel in a fixed position to prevent accident or authorized operation of valves.

CHAIN WHEEL POSITIONS:

• Chain wheels are used for the valves located too far above the floor for convenient hand wheel operation.

SALIENT FEATURE:

• Meets designs as per requirements of ASME B 16.34 / API 600 / API 603 / API 6D.

• Meets Testing as per requirements of API 598 / API 6FA / ISO 5208.
